MORE INFORMATION

Thank you for considering us for your next stay in the Lakes Region.

Before the end of the war, the property was sold to Benjamin Baker, who also served with distinction in the Revolutionary War and played prominent roles in the early years of the republic. Joseph Spencer went on to be the first Delegate for Connecticut in the Continental Congress and served until his death in 1789. One of the Baker brothers also served under George Washington at the Siege of Boston in 1776, and the second brother participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
